There are plenty of magnificent peaks around Gokyo Valley and Ngozumpa Tse is one of them. Although Gokyo Ri is widely popular with tourists trekking to Gokyo valley, Ngozumpa Tse is equally beautiful and offers fascinating views of the surrounding landscape with the mountain peaks in the backdrop. To get to Ngozumpa Tse, you have to hike up to the 5th lake of Gokyo. The Ngozumpa Tse, at an elevation of 5553 m, is similar to Gokyo Ri but offers the best views of Cho Oyu, the sixth highest mountain in the world. Firstly, we hike up to the 5th lake from Gokyo, and camp at the lap of Cho Oyu for the night. Then, the day after we leave early in the morning from our campsite so as to not miss the magical sunrise from atop the peak. You can see the first rays of sunlight reflected on Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu and unbeatable views of the Gokyo lakes. We provide you camping equipment along with food for this peak climbing journey.
